Hey there! It's the second week of December and I've managed to do a little bit of December documenting, woohoo. I've started my December Daily album and it's the first year doing so and I absolutely love doing it! Last year was supposed to be my first year but that didn't work as our family decided having the flu would be more fun, haha.
To start with, I used the newest Kellie Stamps release MAGIC and love it foe December memory keeping. She's got lots of other great sets in the shop this month, so be sure to check it out! I made some embellishments using sentiments from the set knowing I wanted to use them in my December Daily pages.
And next I added the digital stamp from the same set to one of my photos. I just love how it looks on the photo I snapped of my kiddos gingerbread house. It just might be my fave.
Earlier in the week, I gathered all the possible cards, embellishments, tools and art supplies I thought I might use for this project. I put everything on a tray. I promised myself that I would use only what was on the tray to keep things simple. Having too many choices sometimes paralyzes me and I wanted to be sure to try to set myself up for success here. We'll see :)
I purchased a Kraft album (with 6 x 8 inserts) with some red graphics partially covering it but knew when I got it that I would change up the cover a bit. I used a heavy embossed white card stock and some Mod Podge Matte and covered the outside of the album. I also added a wood star and then a rubber label on top of that, adhering it with some adhesive and a Martha Stewart's glue pen. On the inside I used some beautiful Ashley G 6 x 8 papers included in the mini kit from Ali Edwards.
I put my pages together and am showing my Day 3 here because I was most excited by the gingerbread house photo with that awesome Kellie Stamps digital stamp from the MAGIC set! And isn't that Do You Believe in Magic embellishment from the same set the cutest?!
I am really excited about this project and am making it work for me and not putting any pressure on myself about how or when I do it. My plan is to tell one story a day in the month of December up until the 31st. I know lots of folks stops at Christmas on day 25, but my birthday is right after that so I decided to include it as well as New Years too!
I'll see you back here next time and want to thank you for stopping by and reading, as always :)
