In my post yesterday I mentioned that I use Project Life cards for things other than slipping them into plastic pockets next to my pictures. The Project Life core kits come with around 600 cards. I have so many cards and I'll never use them all in my albums. It's not really a problem though because I've found other uses for these cute cards.
Last Thanksgiving I placed a variety of inspirational cards on each plate before our feast. I added a grid card so each guest could write a little something. The top card was theirs to keep and the bottom cards went into my pages. As an example, the card below reads: Live Simply, Be Grateful, Give Love, Laugh Lots. It was a perfect wish for the day.
For teacher gifts last Christmas, I put a Starbucks gift card, hot chocolate and chocolate candies into a Starbucks to-go holiday cup. I wrapped each one with some pretty ribbon and attached an appropriate Project Life card as a gift tag. I gave them to all of our teachers and bus drivers. In the words of my son: easy peasy lemon squeezy. Aren't they adorable?!
When my daughter went back to school this past August, I went through various core kits and selected several cards that had the perfect sentiment and her fave colors for school lunch notes. I have this pile below all set and ready to go. All I need to do each day is pick the one that fits the mood and activity of the day and write a little note or a joke on the back.
There you have it. Some of the other ways I use the abundance of cards that I seem to have collected. My goal is to use as many of these cards as possible before the hubs realizes just how many cards reside in our house ;)
See you back here tomorrow with the weekend photo!
