We planted some pumpkins and squash this year. And by we, I mean the hubs and my brother. I'm not really a gardener. I help plan the garden and it is my job to harvest whatever is planted and then prepare it to be eaten. I also love to photograph our little crop and find myself taking a bunch of pictures. This is my favorite part actually, no surprise there!
As for the preparing part of the equation, I'm not sure what I will be making with the squash. Once I decide, I'll post a recipe and photos here later this week. The kids aren't big fans so whatever I make will be dinner for two.
As for the pumpkins, we'll be using them for carving and decoration. We didn't plant any to be eaten. We love everything pumpkin but don't know the first thing about preparing fresh pumpkin, except for the seeds of course. If it's something I ever attempt, I'll be sure to share.
Enjoy your Monday, and I'll see you back here tomorrow.
